At Zion Church, we actively serve our community by sharing our resources, time, and space to care for those in need. Regular engagement in missions can bring a more profound understanding of God’s heart.
Hebrews 13:16 “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Charities
Zion Church has a very strong missions outreach in our community. The church supports four local charities by giving monetary donations each quarter. By helping these organizations, we can be a part of the hands and feet of Jesus. Life Crisis, Christian Shelter, Salisbury Urban Ministries and Halo all provide outreach to those in need in our community and we are blessed to be able to offer assistance. Zion also collects food donations and other needed materials that can be placed in the donation baskets in the church foyer for these organizations.
Korean Church
One of Zion’s most moving outreaches occured when our brothers and sisters in Christ at a local Korean Church were in need of a sanctuary to hold their worship service. We were able to work out worship times so that they could hold worship services in Zion’s sanctuary. As you ride by Zion Church, you will see their sign out front as well as Zion’s sign.
God’s Kitchen
Zion Church partners with “God’s Kitchen” held at Grace United Methodist Church in Salisbury. This program serves the local homeless and impoverished population and relies on volunteers to serve hot meals every Saturday. Many local churches rotate on a yearly basis which provides opportunity for meaningful fellowship as well.
